This week our President, Peter Letzmann, traveled to Ann Arbor to award their City Council Member Erica Briggs, former Executive Director of Scenic Michigan, our 2022 Scenic Hero award!
Erica was the Executive Director from January 2018 through the end of 2021. Her passion for preserving beautiful, sustainable, public spaces in Michigan helped guide Scenic Michigan through a successful slate of programming throughout the pandemic and set us up for success moving forward. Erica came to Scenic Michigan with over fifteen years of experience in nonprofit management, urban planning, and public administration; which helped her to advocate for Scenic Michigan’s mission of maintaining our state’s scenic beauty. Erica also helped launch the 2nd Edition of our award-winning Sign Regulation Guidebook in 2021.
